Really the answer is quite simply because it’s amazing!!! You take the speed and acceleration of asphalt racing and combine it with the sideways thrills of drifting and that’s dirt track racing. There is nothing else in the world like dirt track racing, and those who know and love racing always go back to dirt. Guys like Tony Stewart, Clint Bowyer, Ken Schrader, Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson and so many more… They love NASCAR, and make a great living racing a NASCAR style racecar, but what do they do for fun… RACE DIRT!!
What is included in the Race-On Dirt Experience”?
Ride-Along experiences Includes: 4 laps total with a half lap coming up to speed and a half lap cool down, 3 laps are at race speed. Use of Race-On Dirt Experience safety equipment, including: helmet, fire suit, and HANS devices. All driving experiences include the following: 45 minute class instruction, the use of the Race-on Dirt Experience safety equipment and car. These experiences include driving a dirt race car for 10, 15, 25, 30 or 50 laps.
If I choose the option that allows me to drive the car, do I need to have prior racing experience?
No racing experience is required. You will receive instruction that will have you fully prepared to have the time of your life driving one of our great racecars before every driving package.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes, reservations are required. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your request or call 855-RACE-DIRT (855-722-3348) to sign up and make a reservation!
What do I need to bring?
If you are 18 or older, you will need to bring a valid photo ID such as a driver’s license as well as the confirmation email sent to you upon completing your original reservation. Drivers must be 18 with a valid driver’s license. If you are under the age of 18, you will need to have a parent/guardian with you at all times. He/she will need to have a valid photo ID and will need to sign a liability consent waiver.
What should I wear?
A t-shirt and jeans or shorts work great, just something comfortable to wear underneath our firesuits. Driver should wear sneakers (something with a flexible sole), open toe shoes will not be allowed. We will supply the safety equipment such as fire resistant suits, helmets and HANS devices.
Are there age restrictions?
Drivers must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license. Riders must be 14 years or older and must have a parent/legal guardian sign a consent waiver.
What are the size requirements?
Our race cars don’t have doors. ALL Drivers & Riders must have the ability to climb through a 15” high by 28” wide window that sits 35” from the ground. Drivers must be at least 5′ tall. Maximum height is 6′ 3″ . Waist and chest can be no bigger than 48″.
Can family and friends come to watch?
Yes! Family and friends are definitely welcome to come and enjoy your experience. There is no limit to the amount of people to come and watch your experience. There is no alcohol or pets allowed.
Can I sign up to do the “experience” with a family member or friend?
Absolutely! Please email us or give us a call to make sure that there is an appropriate amount of slots available in the time slot requested. After you have confirmed the date, each participant will need to register his/her package separately and sign up for the same race date or one person can make both reservations.
What happens if it rains?
If the races have been cancelled due to rain, you will have a year from the rained out date to reschedule. No refunds will be given for a race being rained out. For participants traveling long distances to attend our events we strongly suggest booking refundable or flexible travel arrangements. Race-On Dirt Experience is not responsible for costs lost for travel or accommodations in the event of a cancellation.
What happens if I crash?
You are responsible for your health insurance. Participants are financially responsible for damage to the racecar if crashed while the driver is driving. Crash damage insurance is available for $30.00 subject to a $1000 deductible, or for $45.00 subject to a $500 deductible.
If I need to cancel, can I get a refund?
Your racing experience ticket is fully transferable, assignable and sellable. The ticket is NON-REFUNDABLE and generally can not be refunded; however, exceptions may be available under the following circumstances:
1)Physician documented inablility to participate in a racing experience for a period of 1 year or more.
2)An event cancellation for any reason other than inclement weather.
3)If you are active military and your service prevents you from participating.
4)Death of the participant or immediate family member.
5)Cancellation of order within 24 hours or next business day. (please note the $4.75 booking fee is not refundable and a $15 CC processing fee will be applied)
